Backstory

This song was developed from a character I played in an Independent Feature Film called ‘Night Swimming For Daydreamers’ filmed in Austin, TX.  While we were shooting the film, the Director found out that I was also a singer/songwriter and asked me to write a song for the film. I thought it would be intriguing to write a song from my character’s perspective. It was an emotionally challenging role and I ended up writing the song fairly quickly. It was cathartic. The Director was kind enough to give me film footage outtakes from various scenes to use in the Music Video.
